Welcome to Nformed Consulting.
 
This page has been created by Neurodivergent people with lived experience as individuals, parents and professionals.
 
We are passionate about ensuring that Neurodivergent voices are elevated and listened to, when it comes to advocating for ourselves, our children and our neurokin.
 
We believe strongly in promoting that there should be #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs, particularly when it comes to things like training about neurodivergence.
 
The knowledge and insight we have to offer is so valuable.
 
We chose the name ‘Nformed’ to signify that this service was ‘formed’ by neurodivergent people, with a view to not only supporting and educating others, but to hold those who provide services aimed at neurodivergent people to higher standards.
 
And in essence, ‘informing’ people about the the things we experience and want people to know, as well as sharing how we can be accommodated.
 
We offer a range of services, including: helping parents and teachers to understand and support their children/students, talking with late identified or diagnosed adults about their diagnoses, and co-producing, reviewing or delivering training.
 
There are many so-called ‘professionals’ and ‘experts’ offering services to us, such as training and counselling, but in our experience, this often falls short, with practitioners possessing out of date knowledge and practice.
 
We are more than a list of criteria and deficits… and deserve to be seen through a different lens.
 
Nformed Consulting is an empathetic, neurodiversity affirming service, that aims to change the narrative and misconceptions around what it really means to be Neurodivergent.

Reviewing EHCP Targets

Are the targets in your child's EHCP appropriate and meaningful? I can review and suggest alternative targets that take your child's unique wants and needs into account.

I can help parents with correspondence to and from professionals, with a view to promoting a better understanding of neurodivergent individuals, to enable those around them to better support their needs.

I can review, co-produce or design bespoke training for parents and professionals. I can also work with education professionals to help them adapt the school environment, providing reasonable adjustments for their neurodivergent students.
